Going to new places isn’t everything about going inside caves even when the main purpose of the trip is caving. Last week some caving friends and I returned to the Sierra Gorda, a region of Queretaro in Mexico to enter a cave that is located about two kilometres from the entrance to another cave we have visited several times before which is named “Las Ardillas” (The Chipmunks). The cave to be visited this time is “Las Ardillas 2”, asked by the locals, they wanted us to make a scouting inside, checking the status of previously installed gear and make a judgement about the conditions inside. The day we got to the place we couldn’t find anybody near until a young woman got there and we had the chance to ask her about “los señores”, she told us that they would be there about 6:00 p.m., so we waited, finally they arrived at about 8:00 p.m. In the meantime we laid on the floor, chatting, and some of us making some pictures. I grabbed my Fujifilm X100S and spent the time pointing the lens at my partners and the sky, from the latter snaps playing composition with the clouds here is one.
